15 MB Free, 30 MB Signed In
One file at a time. No Excel needed.
Three steps, plus one setting worth checking.
Drag one .xls, .xlsx or .csv into the box above, up to 15 MB as a guest. Google Sheets works once downloaded as .xlsx.
Want every column on one page? Set Fit to 1 page wide under Page Layout first. Leave it and wide sheets split instead.
Click Convert, then download. No account needed. Report.xlsx comes back as Report.pdf, each sheet in tab order.
What we do with the part that will not fit.
Columns past the page edge continue on the next page with the same rows beside them. Nothing is cut or shrunk.
Header and frozen rows print again on every page, so page 14 of a 5,000-row export still says which column is which.
No sign-up wall in front of the finished PDF. An account only lifts the limit to 30 MB.
A spreadsheet is not page shaped. The grid runs as far right as you keep typing, and an A4 page stops. So every converter shrinks your type, crops the columns that will not fit, or carries them onto another page. Almost none say which. This one splits.
| In your workbook | In the PDF |
|---|---|
| Each visible sheet | Kept. One sheet, its own page, tab order. |
| Hidden and protected tabs | Left out. Neither appears by default. |
| Empty tabs | Skipped. No page at all. |
| Columns wider than the page | Split, not cropped. 4 to 6 per page, rows repeated. |
| Header and frozen rows | Repeated at the top of every page. |
| Row heights, and tall rows | Kept whole. Never squashed, never cut in two. |
| Merged cells | Flattened, readable, never split across pages. |
| Charts in a worksheet | Static images. Chart-only tab gives one page. |
| Currency, percentage, date, decimals | Kept as formatted. |
| Bold, size, colour, fill, borders, alignment | Kept cell by cell. |
| Formulas | Resolved to the computed value. |
| Page size and file name | A4 default. Report.xlsx to Report.pdf. |
The converter measures the real width of every column, adds them up, and fills a page until the next will not fit. The rest start a fresh page with the same rows repeated beside them, so every record reads across. That lands between four and six columns per page, but it is not a fixed count. Cumulative column width, font size and page size decide it, on A4 by default. Ten narrow date columns may all fit; twelve wide ones may take three pages.
Page setup lives in the spreadsheet, so set it before you upload. In Excel open Page Layout, then Page Setup. Switch the orientation to Landscape for roughly 40 percent more width, narrow the margins, then under Scaling choose Fit to 1 page wide. Tightening column widths or hiding working columns buys more room without shrinking your type. Skip all of it and the split happens for you, which is safer.
Every visible sheet goes into the same PDF, in tab order, each starting on its own page, so order your tabs first. Hidden sheets and protected tabs are left out, so unhide anything you want kept. Empty tabs are skipped and produce no page at all, so you get no blank pages padding the middle of a report.
A 5,000-row export flows down as many pages as it needs, and row heights are never compressed to fit more on. Your header row, and any rows frozen in the source, repeat at the top of every page of that tab. No row is sliced across a page break: a tall row of wrapped text starts the next page whole.
Charts arrive as static images. They keep how they look but lose what they do, and a tab with a chart and no cells becomes exactly one page. Merged cells flatten to a readable form, and one spanning three columns is never broken across a page boundary. Number formatting survives, which matters more than it sounds. Currency keeps its symbol and separators, so the rupee column on a GST invoice stays a rupee column and the percentage column on a marksheet stays a percentage, while dates keep your format rather than reverting to a serial number. Bold, font size, colour, cell background, borders and alignment carry over.
Four things are read off the file first. The format must be .xls, .xlsx or .csv, one at a time. The size must sit inside your limit: 15 MB as a guest, 30 MB with a free account, up to 2 to 4 GB paid. A corrupted, unreadable or empty file is turned away, and a password-protected workbook cannot be opened, so take the password off a copy first.
Converting Excel to PDF, answered.
Upload your spreadsheet to PDFNoob, click Convert, then download the PDF. No account is needed and no email is asked for. There is no watermark, and it runs in a browser, so you do not need Excel.
No. You can upload a workbook, convert it and download the PDF as a guest. A free account only raises the upload limit, from 15 MB to 30 MB.
Nothing is cut off. Columns that will not fit move onto the next page with the same rows repeated beside them, so every record reads across. To get them all on one page, set Fit to 1 page wide under Page Layout first.
Upload the workbook and every visible sheet goes into the same PDF, in tab order. One sheet becomes one page, or more if it is long or wide. Order your tabs first, because the PDF follows them.
No. Hidden tabs are left out by default, and protected tabs do not appear either, so unhide anything you want kept. An empty tab is skipped too and produces no page.
The results are, the formulas are not. A PDF stores a fixed page, not a calculation engine, so a cell reading =SUM(B2:B40) arrives as the number it worked out. A tool promising to preserve formulas is describing something PDF cannot hold.
Yes. Excel workbooks in .xls and .xlsx, and plain .csv files, one at a time. A .csv carries no formatting of its own, so it converts as a plain table.
Files over your limit are refused, so sign in for 30 MB. A password-protected workbook must be unlocked first, and Unlock PDF handles a locked PDF. Files deleted within 1 hour. We don't index your file contents or use them to train AI.
